We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian II who will play a crucial role in assessing and enhancing the nutritional health of our patients.

As a Clinical Dietitian II, you will utilize recognized assessment tools to evaluate the nutritional status of patients. Your expertise will be vital in recommending and advising patients, their families, and caregivers on tailored nutrition plans aimed at improving overall health and wellness.

Your daily responsibilities will involve working with patients presenting high acuity needs, including pediatric, bariatric, and ICU cases, requiring advanced skills in nutrition therapy. You will conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments that consider age, gender, and cultural backgrounds, while identifying patients at nutritional risk through routine screenings. Collaboration within an interdisciplinary team will be essential to ensure effective care delivery, all while maintaining exemplary customer service standards.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to elevate your professional skills by mentoring Clinical Dietitian I's, guiding them in the core responsibilities and practices of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate individualized intervention plans that specify feeding routes, modes, and nutrition prescriptions tailored to each patient's unique requirements, adhering to physician directives.
  • Monitor and assess patient responses to interventions, ensuring measurable goals are documented in the nutrition care plan with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Revise care plans as necessary and provide follow-up consultations with patients as needed.
  • Engage in administrative tasks, including resource management in a cost-effective manner, and participate in compliance and quality improvement initiatives to guarantee safe and effective nutrition care.
  • Work collaboratively with the Food and Nutrition Services team to enhance the overall patient experience.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an acute hospital setting, working with patients requiring complex care across specialized populations.
  • Bachelor's Degree with completion of an accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics).
  • Registered Dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • State licensure as a Dietitian in the following states: Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Tennessee, Ohio.
