Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Hyndman Area Health Center. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient appointment schedules, ensuring a smooth flow of patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Process patient payments, including co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles, in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Verify patient insurance information and update demographic data as needed.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, phone calls, and correspondence.
  • Support the Patient Centered Medical Home initiative and adhere to all health center policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school graduate required; medical secretarial program or equivalent education and experience preferred.
  • Medical terminology knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
