Overview:

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for delivering a comprehensive Speech Language Pathology program to clients, ensuring high-quality care and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain productivity levels that align with organizational standards.
  • Document and prepare necessary time records accurately.
  • Stay updated on all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including OSHA, TJC, and CMS standards, as well as maintaining necessary professional credentials.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to educational initiatives within the organization.
  • Complete all assigned duties in accordance with the organization's mission and values.
  • Keep detailed progress notes and professional records for all patients receiving speech pathology services.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, including compliance programs and HIPAA regulations, while reporting any unethical or illegal activities.
  • Deliver appropriate speech pathology interventions tailored to client needs.
  • Prepare diagnostic assessments and recommendations for clients receiving Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology services.
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for clients referred for Speech-Language Pathology services.
  • Compile and provide accurate data for the operational needs of the Speech-Language Pathology Programs.
  • Coordinate client evaluations, scheduling, and treatment plans effectively.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, development programs, and educational workshops.
  • Gather complete historical information on clients referred for services.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor and deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Possess a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Demonstrate the necessary skills to provide high-quality customer service.

Licensure and Certifications:

Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) or be in the process of completing the Clinical Fellowship year. CPR certification is required based on AHA standards, including both theoretical and practical components within the first month of employment. A valid Speech Pathologist license for the respective state is mandatory.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Speech Pathologist License
  • Speech-Language Pathology Certification (CCC-SLP)
