Job Overview

This position is pivotal in enhancing SMC's presence in the market.

OBJECTIVE

The Sales Account Executive is tasked with representing SMC in all facets of business interactions related to existing customer and distributor account management. This role also focuses on establishing and nurturing new business connections to expand market presence and drive growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee sales and maintain relationships with essential strategic accounts and SMC distributors.
  • Showcase SMC's offerings to both current and prospective clients.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for designated clients, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Champion customer requirements within the organization.
  • Lead the sales initiative and collaborate with team members to develop solutions.
  • Proactively assess customer satisfaction and foresee service challenges.
  • Prepare comprehensive forecasts and reports as necessary.
  • Foster robust relationships with key decision-makers in targeted accounts.
  • Utilize SMC's resources for uniformity and effectiveness.
  • Meet or surpass sales targets established by leadership.
  • Stay informed about market trends and developments.
  • Effectively manage SMC resources and evaluate return on investment.
  • Maintain current technical knowledge and guide new sales personnel.
  • Record sales activities and communicate efficiently using CRM tools.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Dynamic environment with a mix of office and field responsibilities.
  • Travel is necessary, occasionally requiring extended stays.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible working hours are expected.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of sales experience in a comparable sector.
  • Familiarity with SMC product offerings and pneumatic systems.
  • Comprehension of SMC policies and competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Skilled in computer applications and quick to learn new technologies.
  • Maintains a clean driving record.
