Business Development Representative

We are seeking a driven sales professional to join our team at Hospitality Logistics. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with shippers to drive revenue growth.
About the Role:
This is a sales hunter role that requires a strong ability to prospect, negotiate, and close deals. You will work closely with our operations team to develop and implement growth-based sales strategies that achieve revenue and profit targets. Your primary focus will be on identifying shippers with freight transport opportunities and establishing relationships to drive new business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Director, Sales Operations to develop and implement growth-based sales strategies that achieve revenue and profit targets.
• Use independent judgement and discretion to determine which shippers have freight transport opportunities, which lanes to quote, and which loads to accept.
• Effectively identify decision-makers and establish/maintain relationships with shippers to drive revenue growth.
• Collaborate internally with operations teams to strategize and respond to RFP/RFQ's.
• Provide excellent customer service and prompt issue resolution to existing customers.
• Use company provided CRM to manage the entire sales pipeline and associated leading indicator metrics.
• Travel to customer and/or prospective client sites as needed to facilitate profitable and sustainable relationships.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but no degree required.
• Logistics/transportation sales experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong professional written and verbal communications skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, expertise with MS Excel.
• Ability to work in a demanding environment with efficient time management skills and strong negotiation skills.
