Position Summary:

We are currently in search of a Hydraulic Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our esteemed team. This role is integral to our Water Resiliency Planning & Design Teams, focusing on the development and execution of projects that safeguard our water resources.

This position presents an exciting opportunity for a proactive and self-sufficient professional to contribute locally while receiving support from one of the industry's most reputable consulting firms.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Hydraulic Systems Engineer, your primary duties will encompass:

  • Conducting engineering assessments for water distribution, wastewater management, and stormwater systems.
  • Engaging in evaluations, planning, feasibility studies, and design processes.
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality protocols.
  • Producing and reviewing technical documentation, including reports and construction plans.
  • Participating in industry associations, attending workshops, and contributing to professional publications.

Qualifications:

We seek individuals who share our commitment to enhancing the quality of life through engineering. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A solid foundation in hydraulic modeling and engineering, particularly in water distribution and wastewater systems.
  • Proficiency in HEC-RAS Modeling and GIS.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications that will enhance your candidacy include:

  • Engineer in Training Certification (EIT) or the ability to obtain it within a year.
  • Previous experience in an engineering consulting environment or related field.
  • Familiarity with advanced modeling techniques such as CFD and groundwater modeling.
