Position Overview:
This role is pivotal in supporting the execution of intricate projects. The incumbent will identify solutions to technical challenges, manage assigned tasks, and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of processes to operate independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement control-based applications to connect with IT systems and machinery controls.
  • Lead the design and execution of PLC projects, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the design, installation, modification, and maintenance of both new and existing plant equipment.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% annually, including occasional off-hours work.

Essential Duties:
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and justifying project finances, including budget preparation and design reviews.
  • Research new equipment, systems, and processes to enhance plant operations.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in contractor management and conduct audits to verify compliance with safe work practices and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • 7 years of experience in control systems, PLC programming (RSLogix), VFDs, HMIs, servos, equipment design, automation engineering, and project management.

Preferred:
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar certifications.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and database messaging; familiarity with communication protocols.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in utilizing computer-based technologies and interpreting technical CAD drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to understand electrical and mechanical diagrams, program and debug programming languages, and troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Expertise in designing electrical control systems and modern safety control systems.
