Role Overview:
- Position Title: Aerospace Systems Engineer
- Work Hours: Standard business hours, Monday through Friday
- Classification: Exempt
- Location: Onsite with occasional travel as required
- Compensation Range: $70,000 to $150,000+ based on experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient in constructing and diagnosing intricate computer systems utilizing Linux
- Experience in hardware and software integration, including sensors, networking, and cybersecurity
- Expertise in troubleshooting and reverse engineering Linux environments
- Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) cybersecurity protocols
- Knowledge of DoD sensor technologies such as Electro-Optical/Infrared (EOIR), Radar, and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)
- Experience deploying to DoD cloud platforms, particularly in IL5 environments
- Strong communication and organizational capabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in testing on aircraft and within government laboratories to identify and resolve software issues
- Independently investigate challenges in deployed systems
- Engage in design evaluations and provide input on requirements
- Collaborate with government personnel and partners to devise solutions
- Troubleshoot complex issues across various government facilities
- Support software testing teams with technical assistance
- Prepare comprehensive software documentation
- Deliver engineering solutions to meet cybersecurity requirements
Preferred Background:
- Strong Linux troubleshooting capabilities
- Familiarity with software development tools
- Experience with software configuration management and version control systems
- Expertise in software troubleshooting and assessment
- Knowledge of DoD mission systems and platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- US Citizenship and eligibility for a DOD Secret Clearance
- Prior experience with Minotaur is advantageous
