S3I is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer to contribute to our initiatives with the US Navy. This role places you at the forefront of innovative technology, managing complex systems that are vital to national security missions. Your responsibilities will include designing resilient architectures and enhancing performance and reliability, ensuring smooth operations and mission success. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing on aircraft and within government laboratories to diagnose issues and provide solutions for the software development team.
  • Independently investigate and replicate problems reported in operational systems.
  • Engage in design reviews and contribute to requirement specifications.
  • Collaborate with government personnel and partners to deliver actionable solutions.
  • Work with both local and remote teams across various government facilities to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Support the software testing team with technical expertise.
  • Assist in the preparation of software documentation.
  • Investigate and provide engineering solutions to meet cybersecurity requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in building and troubleshooting intricate computer systems utilizing Linux.
  • Experience with hardware and software integrations, including sensors, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and reverse engineering capabilities for Linux systems.
  • Understanding of DoD and DCSA cybersecurity protocols.
  • Familiarity with DoD sensor systems such as EOIR, Radar, and SIGINT.
  • Experience deploying to DoD cloud platforms, including IL5 environments and above.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Functional experience in Linux troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with software configuration management and version control systems.
  • Strong analytical skills in software troubleshooting and evaluation.
  • Understanding of DoD mission systems, sensors, communications, and platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Previous experience with Minotaur systems is highly desirable.
