Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Specialist to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting programs within the Prevention and Early Intervention Division (PEI), with a focus on child abuse prevention and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and implement major agency programs related to child abuse prevention.
  • Provide consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public.
  • Collaborate with IT projects to support PEI's work and provide guidance on data systems and data analysis.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collect, analyze, and prepare data for reports and presentations.
  • Develop and implement effective techniques for evaluating agency programs.
  • Prepare administrative reports and studies, and perform specialized research projects.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a field related to child and family services, child welfare systems, social work, public health, or public policy.
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in a relevant field.
  • Experience with state contracting policies and services, data analysis, and specialized software.
  • Ability to work independently with considerable latitude for initiative and judgment.
Working Conditions:

This is a telework position, with occasional meetings in office. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the PEI Research and Evaluation team and interact with other state agencies and partners.
