Job Title: State Board for Educator Certification Program Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Specialist to join our team at the Texas Education Agency. As a State Board for Educator Certification Program Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the adoption and rule review of SBEC rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage SBEC rulemaking and rule review processes, ensuring compliance with relevant statutes and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with teams and stakeholders to support SBEC rulemaking.
  • Engage in and promote positive team building and collaboration to build a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Manage external communication on SBEC rulemaking to enhance public awareness.
  • Serve as agency liaison with Secretary of State's Texas Register Office.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in program planning, development, and implementation.
  • Experience with administrative rulemaking at a state agency is preferred.
