We are seeking a highly skilled Program Specialist VI to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. This is a senior-level position that requires advanced data analysis and scientific writing skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform sophisticated data analysis and scientific writing for assigned programs.
- Provide high-level technical assistance for the Healthcare Safety Unity of the Office of the Chief State Epidemiologist.
- Develop and implement major agency programs and provide consultative services to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, or the general public.
- Coordinate the collection, organization, analysis, and preparation of materials in response to requests for program information and reports.
- Complete and monitor required administrative and performance reports, studies, and specialized projects.
- Knowledge of sophisticated scientific/professional/grant writing and data analysis management techniques.
- Expert skill in performing data analyses using Statistical Software (in addition to Excel).
- Expert skill in reviewing and writing scientific and legal documents for public-facing state and national health audiences.
- Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts; to devise solutions to problems; to market programs; to prepare reports; to develop, evaluate, and interpret policies and procedures; to communicate effectively; and to serve as a lead worker providing direction to others.
This position works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
