To be considered for the role of Mechanical Engineering Team Supervisor, candidates must have a proven track record in delivering comprehensive design packages for complex multi-disciplinary architecture and engineering projects, particularly for clients in the Food, Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), or Life Sciences sectors.Collaboration:

Key Responsibilities:

This engineering team is responsible for delivering mechanical systems design projects, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, fire protection, and refrigeration, specifically for manufacturing facilities in the food, beverage, consumer goods, and life sciences sectors.


Leadership and Development:
In this critical role, you will lead and mentor mechanical and plumbing design professionals.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the production of design deliverables, managing departmental workflows and resources, and contributing to resource workload projections while preparing accurate cost estimates.


Design Quality:
Your primary focus will be on defining, leading, and implementing design concepts and developments.

You will ensure the overall quality of design and construction documents, guaranteeing precision and completeness in every aspect.

As the designated Engineer of Record, you will expertly seal construction documents.

Technical Coordination:
Your role will involve seamless technical coordination and communication across departments, project managers, and leadership. You will meticulously review the technical accuracy of work products to ensure high standards.

Site Evaluations:
Conducting site evaluations and studies, including the preparation of detailed technical reports, will be integral to your responsibilities. You will optimize the use of components, materials, and tools to enhance project efficiency.

Process Improvement:


Your involvement will include preparing RFPs for subconsultants, third-party resources, and specialty consultants, ensuring thoroughness and attention to detail.


Professional Engagement:


Active participation in local, regional, and national organizations that influence the profession or regulatory guidelines will be a key aspect of your role.


Organizational Growth:


Contributing to the growth and development of the organization, you will play a vital role in marketing proposal development and the recruitment of new professionals.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 12 years of engineering experience in facility mechanical systems, including water, chilled water, wastewater, HVAC, cooling towers, boilers, and compressed air (manufacturing facility experience preferred).
2+ years of experience in a managerial role is preferred.
Experience as a Principal Engineer, Engineering Manager, Mechanical Department Manager, or Project Manager is advantageous.
Knowledge of refrigeration design with ammonia, freon, CO2, and custom plumbing systems for manufacturing facilities in relevant sectors is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills, mentorship abilities, leadership qualities, and excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
Proficiency in technical writing to ensure clear documentation.

Expertise in industry-standard tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel is required.

Familiarity with software dedicated to HVAC system design and analysis is essential.
A willingness to travel up to 25% to project sites is expected.
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (mechanical preferred) is required.

An active Professional Engineering (PE) license in at least one state, with a commitment to obtaining licensure in additional states as necessary, is essential.
