Job Overview:

Position Summary:

The selected candidate will join a dynamic team of geotechnical professionals dedicated to delivering innovative solutions in the fields of fuels, mining, energy, and public infrastructure. Our team specializes in a comprehensive range of services, including but not limited to foundations, embankments, landslide remediation, soil-structure interaction, and earth-retaining structures. We also provide expertise in ground improvement techniques, geotechnical modeling, instrumentation, monitoring, in-situ testing, geophysics, soil dynamics, earthquake engineering, geosynthetics, and groundwater management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting field activities such as construction oversight, material evaluation, and surveying tasks.
  • Managing both on-site and laboratory material testing processes.
  • Executing geotechnical field assessments, including sample collection and exploratory test boring documentation.
  • Assisting in engineering investigations and design tasks under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
  • Traveling for occasional assignments outside the local area.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on geotechnics.
  • Proficient technical skills in various geotechnical analysis and design methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust personal schedules to meet project timelines and client requirements.
  • Willingness to travel regularly as needed.
  • Capability to lift and transport equipment weighing 30 pounds or more.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with interpersonal abilities.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in geotechnical engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in geotechnical design.
  • Familiarity with gINT software.
A hybrid work arrangement may be available for this role, allowing for a combination of office and remote work.

Note: Candidates must be prepared to work in environments with challenging terrain typical of construction sites and must be able to access facilities with limited accessibility and operational machinery. The role involves lifting or moving field-testing equipment, and safety training will be provided prior to site assignments. Participation in a drug screening program may be required at the request of clients.
