Position Overview

The Produce Team Leader plays a crucial role in guiding the store's operations by collaborating closely with the store team leader and associate store team leader. This position emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and the development of floor leads and team members to not only meet but exceed store objectives. A successful team leader must embrace adaptability and change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and coordinate efforts across all store departments.
  • Ensure efficient and profitable store operations to meet sales, labor, and budgetary goals while enhancing overall profitability.
  • Evaluate product ordering, transfers, rotation, waste, and spoilage to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Deliver accurate and comprehensive information in management reports.
  • Manage store shifts as scheduled, serving as the manager on duty during various shifts.
  • Maintain accurate pricing and appropriate signage throughout the store.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to foster a high-performing environment and reduce turnover.
  • Consistently embody and communicate the vision and goals of the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all programs and monitor team progress, processing necessary documentation.
  • Foster a positive work atmosphere that promotes high morale among team members.
  • Develop floor leads into potential team leaders, ensuring a strong talent pipeline.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback through regular job dialogues.
  • Document team member discipline and counseling activities as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and set high standards for team performance.

  • Perform all duties associated with floor leads and team members.
  • Ensure store security and compliance with opening and closing protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the store environment.
  • Comply with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Attend all assigned store meetings and training sessions.
  • Be flexible with scheduling, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven background in retail, preferably in grocery.
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold high retail standards and effective team development.
