  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Order products and create production sheets to meet the needs of the kitchen, based on past and projected sales.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Set a professional and positive example for other team members, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering exceptional results.
  • Communicate openly and frequently with Store Director, Director of Delicatessen Operations, and other support teams to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
  • Ensure company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Teach, mentor, and educate associates to help them become successful members of the team, providing honest and direct feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Promptly address and resolve associate concerns and grievances, maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Write the kitchen schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals, balancing the needs of the team with the demands of the business.
  • Conduct quarterly inventory of all department products, ensuring accurate tracking and minimizing losses.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required, with a college education preferred.
  • Five years of delicatessen/kitchen/restaurant management experience is preferred, or any combination of education, experience, and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Current Food Handlers Permit is required.
  • Ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict, with a passion for preparing, cooking, and eating food, particularly fresh items.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills, with the ability to interpret policies and procedures.
  • Solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills, to effectively and efficiently communicate with and manage diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized analytical skills and techniques.
  • Integrity, a positive attitude, and a demonstrated passion for Harmons mission and commitment to working collaboratively.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, with a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
