Key Responsibilities
  • Train and mentor bakery associates to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Determine production and inventory levels for the bakery to meet customer demand and minimize waste.
  • Ensure the quality and freshness of all bakery products and services.
  • Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the bakery.
  • Confirm pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to promotional items.
  • Ensure the bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets company standards for appearance.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Ordering product and creating production sheets to meet the needs of the bakery based on past and projected sales.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Set a professional and positive example to others.
  • Communicate openly and frequently with Store Director and Bakery Sales Director.
  • Ensure company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained.
  • Write the bakery schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals.
  • Teach, mentor, and educate associates to help them be successful members of the team.
  • Provide honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement.
  • Promptly address and resolve associates' concerns and/or grievances.
  • Quarterly inventory of all bakery products.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED and some college education are preferred.
  • Five years of bakery experience preferred.
  • Current Food Handlers Permit.
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills.
  • Ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict.
  • Integrity, a positive attitude, and a demonstrated passion for Harmons Grocery's mission and commitment to working collaboratively.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
