He or she works flexible hours based on the needs of the individuals served.

Mentors and trains DSP and PD staff on how to support the people they work with to develop new virtual and face-to-face relationships and establish meaningful community connections.

Works collaboratively with the Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and Program Directors (PD) in developing their skills in creating and sustaining community connections and problem-solving when difficulties arise.

Models relationship-building and connecting with groups, citizens, and organizations in local communities.

Promotes and supports a gradual cultural move away from the social limitations and isolation experienced by people with disabilities.

Helps staff develop community plans for PS based on their primary interests, talents, and dreams.

Develops plans that will motivate staff buy-in and appreciation of the importance of community connections, the relationships we all enjoy in our lives (friends, family), and the devastating impact of loneliness.
