Culinary Specialist Job Summary

Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our Food Service team. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and preparing large-scale quantity cooking, including meats, vegetables, fish, hot and cold salads, soups, sauces, gravies, eggs, cakes, desserts, and breads using a variety of preparation and cooking methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follows recipes and ensures accurate and consistent temperature control
  • Sanitizes workstations and equipment, and maintains a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Prepares and cooks a variety of menu items, including hot and cold dishes, soups, and desserts
  • Works collaboratively with the cafeteria management and personnel to ensure efficient food service operations
  • Maintains accurate records and reports, and adheres to food safety and handling procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary school certification preferred
  • 4 years of culinary experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
