Wireless Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Communications Engineer to join our team at LABINE AND ASSOCIATES, INC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with software defined radio platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and evaluate novel wireless communication technologies
- Develop proof-of-concept prototypes of communication systems to enable new capabilities
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to tackle challenging engineering problems
- Assist in the design, development, modeling & simulation, implementation, and evaluation of communication signals for transmission and reception
- Implement communication systems using software defined radio platforms to support various sensor applications
- BS +5yr, MS +3yr, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Proven experience with programming and prototyping Software Defined Radios (SDRs)
- Knowledge of signal processing concepts for communications, detection & estimation theory
- Background in RF Communications, like modulation schemes, coding, channel modeling
- Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools like MATLAB and experience with Python
- Lab testing experience and ability to work on fast paced projects, doing quick-turn experiments and rapid prototyping
- Background in wireless technologies, like 5G, LTE-M, or mmWave
