Position Overview

The Kelly Group is on the lookout for a dedicated Estimator/Project Manager. We are interested in candidates who possess 1 to 3 years of experience in estimation and project oversight, ideally within the construction sector. We also welcome recent graduates or those close to completing degrees in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction management.

Compensation and Benefits: The starting salary will be aligned with the candidate's experience. Additionally, the company provides a vehicle, mobile phone, and laptop for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical projects, focusing on concrete foundations, structural steel, and heavy equipment installation.
  • Oversee and guide superintendents and the workforce.
  • Build and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Conduct site assessments and participate in pre-bid meetings to evaluate project feasibility.
  • Review and negotiate contracts and subcontracts.
  • Facilitate pre-job meetings with superintendents to discuss project scope, scheduling, manpower needs, work sequence, special requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor ongoing projects for cost management, profitability, and adherence to schedules.
  • Promote safety awareness and encourage safe practices among superintendents and the workforce.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance provider.

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with estimating software, scheduling tools, cost allocation, and standard contracting practices is advantageous.
