Position Overview

The Kelly Group is in search of a dedicated Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. Ideal candidates will possess 1 to 3 years of experience in estimation and project oversight, ideally within the construction sector. We also welcome recent graduates or those close to completing degrees in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction management.

Compensation will be based on experience, and the role includes a company vehicle, mobile phone, and laptop.

This role encompasses the following key responsibilities:

  • Prepare estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical projects, emphasizing concrete foundations, structural steel, and heavy equipment installation.
  • Oversee and guide superintendents and project teams.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Conduct site assessments and participate in pre-bid meetings to evaluate project feasibility.
  • Review and negotiate contracts and subcontracts.
  • Lead pre-job meetings with superintendents to discuss project scope, scheduling, workforce needs, work sequence, special requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor ongoing projects for cost management, profitability, and adherence to schedules.
  • Promote safety awareness and encourage safe practices among superintendents and team members.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance provider.

Familiarity with estimating software, scheduling tools, cost management, and standard contracting practices is highly desirable.
