Job Summary

This is a salaried, exempt-level position that reports in collaboration with an established team to the Capex Regional Manager, overseeing projects in various industrial settings.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Project Manager will partner with business units and cross-functional stakeholders to manage expectations for project scope, schedule, and budget. This person will facilitate buy-in for project implementations while collaborating with a team of professionals to execute on various project initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Scope and Planning: Define project scope and plan the delivery of projects according to a roles and responsibility matrix.
  • Project Execution: Execute the project, including costing and implementation according to Front End Loading (FEL) guidelines.
  • Project Reporting: Assure monthly project reporting to stakeholders through FEL, execution, commissioning, and capitalization and closure.
  • Scope Change and Risk Management: Manage scope change and risk management escalation processes.
  • Compliance and Safety: Maintain compliance with local legislation and ADM requirements for permitting, safety legislation, quality assurance, HACCP, GMP, HAZOP.
  • Contractor Safety: Support and drive contractor safety through the use of preventative action plans and safety metrics.
  • Project Documentation: Coordinate the team development of all necessary documentation for commissioning, training, maintenance, and maintain all records required by legislation and policies.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and provide direction to contractual partners for project execution, including the use of a well-maintained work breakdown structure.
  • Project Governance: Establish project structure and coordination with project steering committee according to project governance guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience managing several industrial capital construction projects.
  • Experience with cost engineering and key performance indicators.
  • Experience with industrial process project planning and scheduling with multi-craft trades.
  • Experience with industrial process project commissioning means and methods.
  • Proficiency with use of Microsoft Project, Primavera, or other resource-loaded scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of enterprise management systems.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal English fluency communication skills, experience using written and verbal communication skills effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, preferably in combination with project management engineering.
  • Certified Project Manager or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to work with EPC and EPCM firms.
  • Experience with execution on renovation and brownfield projects or related experience.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint beneficial.
