Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grant Management Specialist to join our team at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the grants cycle, including budget development, monitoring, and closeout procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grant Oversight: Provide technical assistance and guidance in the preparation, submission, and management of research grants, contract proposals, and awards.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that the administration of sponsored programs related to research is in compliance with federal, state, and private agency rules and regulations.
  • Grant Budgeting and Monitoring: Analyze monthly grant activity, monitor grant spending reports, and expenditures posted to assigned grant projects.
  • Communication and Liaison: Act as liaison with department administrators, faculty, and extramural funding agencies to endorse proposals and provide necessary data for fund activation.
  • Special Projects: May implement and support special projects for the department or institute as needed.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of applicable grant/research related experience.
  • NCURA or SRA certification preferred.
Compensation

The salary range for this role is $65,790.00 - $97,790.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need.
