As a Grant Manager at YAI, you will be responsible for managing the full-cycle process for proposals, including drafting and reviewing content, assessing disclosures, preparing budgets, and ensuring timely submissions and handling related follow-up requests.

Key to your success will be your ability to craft high-quality grant proposals, narratives, applications, and supporting documents, including compelling content and project planning details, consistent with grantor/request for proposal (RFP) requirements and YAI branding.

You will also be responsible for collecting necessary information and data to support grant proposals by identifying appropriate YAI Network staff, including other support departments and programs, and collaborating to successfully complete applications.

Additionally, you will develop proposal timelines and oversee deadlines for multiple proposals, performing regular follow-ups to monitor the status of submitted proposals.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in a fundraising, government relations, or communications department, including direct experience with managing, writing, researching, and/or submitting grants.

You must also be a well-organized and motivated strategic thinker, with superior attention to detail and able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Exceptional written communication skills and the ability to create compelling narratives for grant applications are also essential.

While not required, five (5) or more years of direct experience with grant writing, management, etc., and experience completing public Request for Proposals (RFPs) and private foundation applications would be highly desirable.
