About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Member Service Representative/Relationship Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional member service, building strong relationships with our members, and driving business growth through sales and retention efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member Service: Provide exceptional member service, including greeting members warmly, thanking them by name, and ensuring their current and future needs are fulfilled.
  • Account Opening and Maintenance: Open new consumer and business accounts, including checking and loans, and perform account maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Sales and Retention: Focus on retention of current loan and deposit business and develop new consumer and business relationships through proactive sales efforts.
  • Problem-Solving: Listen to members' needs, identify solutions, and take initiative to utilize all available resources to ensure members are assisted completely.
  • Communication: Act as liaison between members and off-site employees and departments to resolve issues, assist with courtesy signings, and complete required forms and documents.
  • Cash Handling: Maintain cash drawer and balances within guidelines established by the Credit Union.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years previous financial institution experience, with retail sales or customer service experience involving cash handling preferred.
  • Skills: Demonstrated knowledge and experience with financial and lending operating systems, ability to give exceptional member service, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
