Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Process account orders accurately and efficiently via various channels, including phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Plan and organize daily work schedules to service existing customers and meet sales targets.
  • Assist account representatives and other sales team members in serving accounts and participating in store-level outreach.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our products, quality, packaging, promotions, substitutions, pricing, and services to match products to account needs and increase sales volume.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, account representatives, and other departments to ensure orders are accurate and meet customer expectations.
  • Monitor and resolve service issues, leading to customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Exemplify our company's values and relationship marketing model to ensure quality and service expectations are met.
Requirements
  • High school diploma with a minimum of two years of customer service experience in the commercial produce industry.
  • Experience with fresh produce varieties, organic trade, growing practices, sustainability movement, or produce merchandising.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including attention to detail, strong organization skills, and basic financial literacy.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships to gain support and achieve results.
  • Ability to listen and identify client needs and inform account representatives or sales managers of potential improvements.
  • Manage multiple conflicting priorities, deal with ambiguity, and exemplify process management while maintaining composure and exercising organizational agility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic working knowledge of produce varieties, regions, and seasons.
  • Basic conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with project management or project supporting functions.
Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to sit for long periods, hear and converse over the phone and in person, key data efficiently and accurately, and maintain and enhance relationships.
