Division Chief of Regional Anesthesia

Stanford University's Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine seeks an exceptional anesthesiologist to serve as the Division Chief of Regional Anesthesia. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team and contribute to the growth of the academic program.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the department and its faculty, overseeing clinical care, operations, strategy, education, faculty development, and scholarly efforts.
- Lead the Division of Regional Anesthesia, providing care to a wide variety of patients needing peripheral nerve and fascia plane blocks, neuraxial anesthesia, and other regional analgesic techniques.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to advance patient care, drive innovation, and mentor future leaders.
- Collaborate with other clinicians across departments to foster a collaborative culture and engage in research and education initiatives.
- Fellowship-trained or equivalent experience in regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine.
- Commitment to clinical and scholarly excellence, with a history of leadership and accomplishments in the field of regional anesthesia.
- Ability to represent the department and its faculty, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive salary range of $440,000–$450,000 for Associate Professor and $462,000–$483,000 for Professor.
