Position Overview:
Bridgewater Place is a premier event venue and catering service located in West Knoxville. We are seeking to expand our team with an enthusiastic Event Lead/Banquet Captain.

Role Responsibilities:

The Event Lead is responsible for overseeing all facets of event design, planning, and execution, both on-site and off-site. This position is vital in ensuring that every event is delivered to the highest standard, working closely with clients, the Events team, and external vendors to create memorable experiences that encourage repeat business.

In this capacity, the lead guarantees that both the staff and venue are fully prepared before each event commences.

Event Planning and Execution:
Client Interaction:

- Conduct meetings with clients at least two weeks prior to their event to finalize all details related to event design and execution.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients to ensure successful event production.
- Verify event contracts for accuracy before reaching out to clients.
- Keep calendars updated for available rental spaces and off-site events promptly.
- Redirect clients to the salesperson for significant changes during planning discussions.


Staff Management During Events:

- Deliver all events in a manner that guarantees client satisfaction.
- Oversee on-site event production, including audio/visual setup, décor arrangements, and seating configurations.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations for events.
- Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, particularly regarding alcohol service.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to train staff on responsible alcohol service and proper etiquette.


Facility Oversight:

- Conduct regular inspections of the venue to identify any safety or maintenance issues, reporting them to the Facilities Director for resolution.
- Assist Facilities staff to ensure the venue is always ready for tours and events.
- Support the General Manager in training staff to maintain a secure and safe environment.
- Keep track of inventory related to events, including tables, chairs, and linens, and request replacements as necessary.
