Title:
Event Production Specialist (Temporary Part-Time)

Position Overview:

This role primarily involves working within various venues managed by The Tennessee Board of Regents, providing essential technical support for events.

Occasional travel to different locations may be necessary to fulfill event requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical assistance for both internal and external events, which includes the setup, testing, and disassembly of audio and visual equipment, as well as operating lighting and sound systems.
- Aid in the coordination of college events and inputting information into scheduling software.
- Support ticketing operations by managing sales and processing requests.
- Collaborate with clients to determine their lighting, sound, media, and staffing requirements for events, which may involve attending preparatory meetings and rehearsals.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Experience in client relations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of sound and lighting operations in an event or theatrical context, familiarity with standard audio/visual equipment, and proficiency in data entry systems. Troubleshooting skills for audio/video setups and a basic understanding of wiring and diagrams are essential.
- Competence in word processing, spreadsheet management, and database applications. Proficiency in a second language is not required.
- Training will be provided for sound and lighting operations, scheduling software, and ticketing systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the performing arts sector, particularly in theatrical lighting, sound, and stage management is highly desirable.
