The Inventory Management Specialist plays a crucial role in performing and executing comprehensive inventory audits across Distribution Centers (DC) and field locations, including the preparation of post-audit documentation.
This position will aid in ensuring compliance through thorough physical inspections and will support the Manager and Director of Inventory Management in preparing for year-end audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory-related processes and systems for establishing the Centralized DC.
- Collaborate with the Manager and Director of Inventory Management, along with DC staff, to monitor and evaluate inventory-related KPIs and dashboards for the Centralized DC.
- Provide weekly reports based on site observations.
- Present findings to the Director of Inventory Management regarding compliance issues and prepare actionable steps to address identified problems.
- Design standard layouts for parts rooms, including labeling and barcoding requirements.
- Establish standard inventory setups for new locations based on anticipated machine counts/types to facilitate market entry.
- Ensure readiness for year-end audits with KPMG.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary to support company growth.
Travel Requirements
- Approximately 75% travel required.
- Conduct physical inspections and operational audits.
- Provide training and development support.
- Ensure audit compliance.
- Offer full support to parts managers via the T3 help channel during non-travel weeks.
- Perform virtual audits during non-travel weeks.

Skills & Qualifications
- Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in Google Sheets/Docs (or Microsoft Office products) and familiarity with Macbook.
- Previous experience in project management is preferred; PMP or other certifications are advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an inventory or distribution center environment.
Physical Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Availability to work 40+ hours per week as required by business needs.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, primarily for overnight trips.
