Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Merchandiser to join our team at L&R Distributors. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for servicing retail stores, maintaining inventory levels, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Store Routes: Work closely with our District Manager to ensure timely and efficient service to our retail partners.
  • Order and Merchandise: Place orders for required inventory using our company-supplied tablet and scanner, leveraging Repsly software to maintain accurate records.
  • Merchandising Delivery: Follow a specific store visit process, including merchandising delivery, filling out task forms, taking pictures, and ordering to maintain stock levels.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and policies regarding invoicing, exchanges, and returns.
  • Planogram and Footage Management: Familiarize yourself with planograms and footage by department, balancing sales and inventory control.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Communication: Maintain efficient communication with Store Associates upon each store visit.
  • Merchandise Shipments: Verify merchandise shipments upon receipt and checked in by authorized store personnel.
  • Professional Communication: Provide consistent professional communication with Store Management and Store Associates.
  • Store Surveys and Audits: Conduct store surveys and audits per request, including taking photographs of assigned departments to solve store issues.
  • Physical Work: Ability to conduct physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D; previous merchandising or retail experience a plus.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Vehicle: Your own personal vehicle, as you will be driving to and from stores.
  • Insurance: Proof of Car Insurance.
  • Motor Vehicle History: Motor vehicle history with 3 or fewer moving violations within the last 36 months (3 years).
  • Computer or Smartphone: Computer or smartphone with an internet connection.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
