EquipmentShare is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist


This role is essential in executing and overseeing all inventory audits across Distribution Centers (DC) and field locations, including the preparation of post-audit reports.

This position will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance through thorough physical inspections and will assist the Inventory Controls Manager and Director in preparing for year-end audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory-related processes and systems for the Centralized DC setup.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Controls Manager, Director, and DC staff to monitor and evaluate inventory-related KPIs and dashboards.
  • Provide weekly reports based on site observations.
  • Present findings to the Director of Inventory Controls regarding compliance issues and prepare actionable next steps.
  • Design standard layouts for parts rooms, including labeling and barcoding requirements.
  • Establish inventory setups for new locations based on anticipated machine counts and types to facilitate market entry.
  • Prepare for year-end KPMG location readiness.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required to support company growth.

Travel Requirements: Approximately 75% travel, including physical inspections and operational audits.

Training and Development: Provide full support to parts managers through the T3 help channel during non-travel weeks and conduct virtual audits.

Remote Work: This position is remote.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to expert proficiency in Google Sheets/Docs (or Microsoft Office) and comfortable using Macbook.
  • Previous experience in project management is preferred; PMP or other certifications are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an inventory or distribution center environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Availability to work 40+ hours per week as needed.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%, with most travel being overnight.
