Position Overview

The PJF Group is in search of a seasoned Construction Superintendent to oversee our projects. This role is pivotal in managing all facets of project planning, scheduling, safety protocols, quality assurance, and documentation. Your leadership will be crucial in directing field personnel, fostering robust client relationships, and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, within financial constraints, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Construction Superintendent, you will be at the forefront of project execution. Your duties will encompass:

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Analyze blueprints and specifications, facilitate communication among design teams, and create comprehensive job schedules. You will monitor labor needs and ensure that all subcontractor responsibilities are meticulously evaluated.
  • Safety & Compliance: Recognize unique safety and environmental conditions, collaborate with Safety Managers to guarantee all safety measures are in place, and confirm that all necessary permits and inspections are completed.
  • Issue Resolution: Anticipate and address challenges that may affect the project timeline, while maintaining professional conduct on-site for all trades involved.
  • Documentation & Communication: Oversee all pertinent documentation, including permits and design plans, while nurturing strong relationships with clients, architects, regulatory bodies, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Regularly assess labor and material expenditures, review invoices from subcontractors, and provide monthly updates on project financials for analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive Experience: A minimum of 10 years in the construction industry, with a proven history of managing large-scale, intricate projects.
  • Communication & Leadership: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with a talent for mentoring and guiding team members.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, scheduling tools (such as MS Project, P6, or Suretrak), and familiar with project management software (like CMiC or similar platforms).
