Position Overview

The PJF Group is in search of a skilled and motivated Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction projects. This role is vital in ensuring that all project elements are executed efficiently and effectively. You will report to the General Superintendent and be responsible for managing the various facets of project execution, including planning, scheduling, safety protocols, quality assurance, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Construction Superintendent, your expertise will be crucial in driving the successful delivery of our projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Analyze project plans and specifications, facilitate communication among design teams, and create comprehensive job schedules. You will also assess labor needs and ensure that all subcontractor tasks are thoroughly vetted.
  • Safety & Compliance: Recognize specific safety and environmental considerations, collaborate with Safety Managers to uphold safety standards, and confirm that all necessary permits and inspections are in place.
  • Issue Resolution: Anticipate and address potential challenges that may affect project timelines, ensuring proper conduct on the job site for all involved trades.
  • Documentation & Communication: Oversee all essential documentation, including permits and drawings, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders such as owners, architects, agencies, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Track labor and material expenditures on a weekly basis, review invoices from subcontractors, and provide regular updates on project financials for analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 10 years in the construction industry, with a demonstrated history of managing large-scale, intricate projects.
  • Effective Communication & Leadership: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with a talent for mentoring and guiding team members.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling tools (such as MS Project, P6, or Suretrak), and familiarity with project management software (like CMiC or similar platforms).
