About the Role

The PJF Group is in search of a seasoned Construction Superintendent to oversee our projects. This pivotal position involves direct reporting to the General Superintendent and requires a comprehensive approach to job planning, scheduling, safety protocols, quality assurance, and project documentation. Your leadership will be crucial in managing field personnel, fostering strong client relationships, and ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule, within financial constraints, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Construction Superintendent, you will be instrumental in the effective execution of construction projects. Your key duties will encompass:

  • Project Coordination: Analyze project plans and specifications, facilitate communication among design teams, and create detailed work schedules. You will monitor labor needs and ensure comprehensive review of all subcontractor responsibilities.
  • Safety Management: Assess unique safety and environmental conditions, collaborate with Safety Managers to ensure compliance with all safety regulations, and confirm that all necessary permits and inspections are completed.
  • Problem Solving: Anticipate and address potential issues that may affect project timelines, and uphold professional conduct across all trades on-site.
  • Documentation Management: Oversee all pertinent documentation, including permits and architectural drawings, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Financial Oversight: Regularly evaluate labor and material expenditures, review invoices from subcontractors, and provide monthly updates on project financial status.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 10 years in the construction industry, with a robust history of managing large-scale, intricate projects.
  • Leadership and Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with a talent for mentoring and guiding team members.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, scheduling tools (such as MS Project, P6, or Suretrak), and familiar with project management software (like CMiC or similar applications).
