Job Summary

We are in search of a Project Field Manager to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and exceed client expectations. Our organization equips our field managers with the necessary support and resources to thrive in their roles, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards. The Project Field Manager will directly oversee the field workforce, including subcontractors and laborers. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership, organizational, and time management abilities, alongside excellent client service skills and a comprehensive understanding of all trades involved in commercial interior construction and high-end renovation projects.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Supervise all daily field activities to guarantee site safety, construction progress, quality control, cleanliness, and accurate daily logs.
  • Provide leadership and direct oversight of site personnel, including assistant managers, laborers, and other construction staff.
  • Manage project schedules, including the preparation of a two-week look-ahead plan.
  • Proactively coordinate all subcontractors to ensure project completion aligns with the schedule and avoids additional costs.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of project strategies and commitments, including financial objectives, timelines, logistics, phases, milestones, and inspections.
  • Ensure job site operations comply with design specifications, are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any project deviations.
  • Collaborate with project management to keep an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the current status and meets cost and time requirements.
  • Conduct weekly meetings, including project and subcontractor discussions.
  • Oversee the RFI process, including creating solutions for site issues and tracking them through to resolution.
  • Exceed client expectations by understanding their needs, preferences, and organizational culture.
  • Promote positive relations with subcontractors by engaging professionally and fairly, instilling this approach within the project team.
  • Manage and review the punch list process to ensure timely resolution of all items.
  • Oversee the project close-out process and warranty responses in collaboration with the project manager.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience as a Project Field Manager, preferably in high-end commercial general contracting.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects in occupied environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple quick-turnaround projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in interpreting commercial construction plans and specifications.
  • 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certificate.
  • 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certificate.
Computer Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Microsoft Project, and Procore (preferred but not required).
Salary Information
  • For positions performed in California, the annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000.
The stated range is specific to California. Placement within this range depends on various factors, including years of experience, project size capability, and internal company equity.
