Job Overview

The Program Manager will report directly to the PMO Director and will play a crucial role in providing strategic guidance and support to the leadership team within the Surface Solutions division. This position is pivotal in addressing complex business challenges and implementing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives while enhancing the PMO and PPM capabilities throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Duties Include:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the Surface Solutions Leadership Team and key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring clarity and alignment in communication regarding desired outcomes, KPIs, and deployment strategies.
  • Assisting the PMO Director in developing a robust Strategic PMO and advancing the maturity of project, program, and portfolio management practices.
  • Facilitating coordinated change management and effective communication strategies.
Strategic Program Management

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale, cross-functional strategic initiatives across the business unit.
  • Define problem statements, objectives, KPIs, scope, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and manage initiative deployment plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource coordination.
  • Oversee the execution of initiatives by collaborating with senior leadership and managing cross-functional dependencies.
  • Ensure alignment among senior leaders regarding key priorities and objectives.
  • Create executive-level reports and presentations to communicate progress and outcomes of PMO initiatives.
  • Facilitate Executive Steering Committee meetings to review initiative performance and drive necessary decisions.
  • Manage applicable budgets and vendor contracts.
Business Consulting & Solution Development

Key Functions:

  • Serve as an internal consultant and strategic partner to the leadership team in developing strategies and execution plans.
  • Facilitate business solution design and process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for business enhancements.
PMO Maturity and Continuous Improvement

Contributions Include:

  • Enhancing the maturity and continuous improvement of PMO and PPM capabilities.
  • Providing coaching and consulting on program and project management to senior leaders.
  • Developing best practices and templates for portfolio, program, and project management.
  • Promoting the sharing and implementation of PMO frameworks and best practices.
Qualifications

Communication and Leadership Skills:

  • Experience in executive stakeholder management and organizational change.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in matrixed environments.
  • Strong skills in conflict resolution and team motivation.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience within an Enterprise PMO focused on strategy and business transformation.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or PgMP are preferred.
  • Strong program management capabilities and experience in managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience leading large-scale strategic initiatives.
  • Experience working within a PMO and contributing to its maturity.
