Position Overview

The Finance division is in search of a Finance Business Partner who will work in close collaboration with executive and business leadership, providing essential financial planning, reporting, analysis, and strategic decision support to enhance business operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of related initiatives while aligning and optimizing financial and business objectives, strategies, policies, processes, and controls across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor and collaborate closely with executive leadership as an integral member of their management team.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of financial strategies that are in harmony with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Maintain ongoing awareness and alignment between all Finance functions and the broader business in the design, development, and operation of plans, policies, systems, processes, and controls.
  • Utilize competitive insights, industry trends, customer metrics, and market dynamics to guide company and divisional targets, strategies, and plans.
  • Oversee the delivery of divisional budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess success, ensuring performance aligns with plans and enhancing the accuracy of budget and forecast submissions.
  • Provide regular financial management reporting, reviewing KPIs, performance, and external data to deliver insights on divisional and company-wide performance, highlighting trends, risks, issues, and opportunities to executive leadership.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and investigations to offer actionable recommendations aimed at improving growth, profitability, efficiency, productivity, financial control, and risk mitigation.
  • Employ financial models, simulate scenarios, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support decisions, including investment analysis, pricing strategies, revenue optimization, and resource allocation.
  • Support decision-making on deals and bids, ensuring margin and risk are effectively managed, and that deals comply with internal policies.
  • Engage with prospects, suppliers, and customers to promote SAS and assist in negotiations.
  • Develop new financial policies, processes, and controls in partnership with business leadership, ensuring effective implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with other business support divisions to enhance advisory and support services, policy, and process development for frontline business divisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience, ideally in a large international publicly traded organization in a Business Partnering or Financial Planning & Analysis role.
  • A proven track record as a business partner to senior leadership, including C-suite executives.
  • Strong relationship management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across various levels, functions, and geographies.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • A curiosity-driven, passionate, authentic, and accountable mindset, reflecting our core values.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or CPA certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial reporting, and revenue recognition specific to the technology sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively influence financial performance as a Finance Business Partner.
  • Experience in a Business Partner role within a large multinational software and/or services organization.
  • Aptitude for conveying complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders and C-suite executives.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects.
  • Prior knowledge and experience applying ASC 606 standards.
  • Advanced financial analysis skills and a CFO mindset.
  • Experience with large international publicly traded organizations in commercial finance or business partnering roles.
