Position Overview

The Finance division seeks a Finance Business Partner to work in close collaboration with executive and business leaders, delivering financial planning, reporting, analysis, and strategic insights to support business operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of related initiatives and aligning business and financial objectives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor and integral member of the executive leadership team.
  • Assist in formulating and executing financial strategies that align with corporate goals.
  • Maintain ongoing alignment between Finance and other business functions in the development and execution of plans, policies, and processes.
  • Utilize competitive insights, industry trends, and customer metrics to inform divisional targets and strategies.
  • Oversee the delivery of divisional budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track success and enhance accuracy in financial submissions.
  • Provide regular financial management reporting, analyzing KPIs and performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for executive leadership.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to offer actionable recommendations aimed at improving growth, profitability, and risk management.
  • Employ financial models to simulate scenarios and provide data-driven insights for decision-making, including investment analysis and resource allocation.
  • Support negotiations and engagements with prospects, suppliers, and customers.
  • Develop and implement new financial policies and processes in collaboration with business leadership.
  • Collaborate with other support divisions to enhance advisory services and policy development for frontline business units.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a large international publicly traded organization in a Business Partnering or Financial Planning & Analysis role.
  • Proven track record of partnering with senior leadership, including C-suite executives.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to build effective working relationships across various levels and functions.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, passion, authenticity, and accountability, which are core values at SAS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or CPA certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting specific to the technology sector.
  • Proven ability to positively influence financial performance as a Finance Business Partner.
  • Experience in a large multinational software or services organization.
  • Adept at conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional projects.
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 standards.
  • Advanced financial analysis skills and a CFO mindset.
  • Experience in commercial finance or business partnering within a large publicly traded organization.
