Job Title: Medical Physicist

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join their Radiation Oncology Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in patient treatment planning and review performance improvement records.
  • Assist with the preparation of special procedures, including radioactive implants, stereotactic radiosurgery, and stereotactic body radiation therapy.
  • Verify patient dose delivery through electronic and paper chart QA checks.
  • Participate in the QA program for radiation-producing machines and assist with equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Perform patient-specific dose measurements and consult with dosimetrists, therapists, and staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Medical Physics, Radiological Physics, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in clinical medical physics.
  • Board Eligible in therapeutic radiological physics by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics.
