About the Role

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join their Radiation Oncology Team. As a key member of the department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in patient treatment planning, reviewing performance improvement records, and assisting with special procedures.
  • Verify patient dose delivery through electronic and paper chart QA checks, and perform patient-specific dose measurements.
  • Contribute to the QA program for radiation-producing machines, performing annual, monthly, weekly, and daily dose measurements, calibrations, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with dosimetrists, therapists, and staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Medical Physics, Radiological Physics, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in clinical medical physics.
  • Board Eligible in therapeutic radiological physics by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics.
