Patient Access Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Gracelight Community Health. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional customer service and that our internal and external clients are provided with timely and accurate information.
Key Responsibilities- Register patients and determine their eligibility for various programs and services
- Schedule patient appointments and ensure that all necessary information is updated in our electronic health record system
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and internal stakeholders, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Work collaboratively with health center staff to ensure that providers' schedules and appointment thresholds are met
- Perform outreach efforts to support health center activities and identify patients who may need enrollment assistance or other support
- High school degree or GED equivalency required
- Minimum of three years of direct customer service work experience
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records preferred
