Patient Access Representative

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a skilled Patient Access Representative to provide exceptional service to patients and their families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for facilitating patient access to care, ensuring accurate and timely registration, and providing clear explanations of patient estimates and financial obligations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient registration, scheduling, and financial clearance activities with accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify patient demographic and financial information, insurance eligibility, and benefits to ensure data accuracy and financial clearance.
- Obtain and verify patient signatures on registration and consent forms.
- Explain patient estimates and financial obligations, and collect funds to meet individual and department cash collection goals.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and resolve errors in the patient registration system.
- High School Diploma/GED required; Associate Degree/College Diploma in Hospital Administration or equivalent preferred.
- One year of customer service experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Two years of experience in healthcare, preferably in Patient Access or Revenue Cycle, preferred.
- Scheduling flexibility and timeliness, including evening and weekend commitments.
