Camp Administrator - Nationwide

Working Hours: 08:30-17:30, Monday to Friday. (Total hours will not exceed 42.5 hours per week)

Compensation: £581.08 weekly salary based on age, experience, qualifications, and camp size.

Reports To: Camp Manager, Area Manager, and Central Office. Barracudas is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, expecting all staff to share this commitment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CAMP ADMINISTRATOR

  • Facilitate and oversee Induction Training and prepare for the Set-Up days prior to Camp.
  • Implement Health and Safety protocols to maintain a secure environment.
  • Communicate regularly with Area Managers and Central Office.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for high-risk activities in line with Barracudas Activity Codes of Practice.
  • Assist staff during sessions as required.
  • Manage bookings processed at camp.
  • Accurately complete and store forms related to staff and children.
  • Act as a management resource to address the needs of staff, parents, and children once administrative tasks are fulfilled.
  • Ensure all children have completed Essential Information forms.
  • Engage with parents and guardians effectively.
  • Inform General Staff of any children with specific medical or dietary requirements.
  • Coordinate leave requests for General Staff members with guidance from your recruitment contact.
  • Support the completion of the BX+ course and assist the BX+ Coordinator as needed.
  • Monitor petty cash and maintain financial records.
  • Ensure that the Site and Baserooms are organized and that all equipment is properly stored.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attendance at mandatory Senior Training events.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word and familiar with Office 365.
  • Able to acquire and develop IT skills, including our in-house booking system.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must obtain an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or possess an existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Provide satisfactory professional or academic references.
  • Participate in and deliver Induction Training Days.
  • Complete Online Training annually.
  • Coordinate the pack-up process at the end of camp.
  • At least half of the senior staff should be Paediatric First Aid trained, depending on camp size.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Adhere to Health and Safety obligations by following established procedures and safe systems.
  • Be proactive in addressing safety concerns.
  • Report any Child Protection issues to a designated person at Central Office.
  • Ensure staff are informed of any children with additional medical or dietary needs.
  • Assist the Senior Team in administering necessary medication and completing appropriate documentation.
  • Bring swimwear daily as it may be required for swimming sessions.
