Camp Administrator - Nationwide

Working Hours: 08:30-17:30, Monday to Friday. (Total hours will not exceed 42.5 hours per week)

Compensation: £581.08 weekly salary based on age, experience, qualifications, and camp size.

Reports To: Camp Manager, Area Manager, and Central Office. Barracudas is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young individuals, expecting all staff to uphold this commitment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CAMP ADMINISTRATOR

  • Facilitate and deliver Induction Training while overseeing the setup days prior to camp commencement.
  • Implement Health and Safety protocols to maintain a secure environment.
  • Communicate and update Area Managers and Central Office regularly.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for high-risk activities in line with Barracudas Activity Codes of Practice.
  • Assist staff during sessions as required.
  • Manage bookings processed at camp.
  • Accurately complete and file forms related to both staff and children.
  • Act as an additional management resource to address the needs of staff, parents, and children once administrative tasks are fulfilled.
  • Ensure all children have completed Essential Information forms.
  • Engage with parents and guardians effectively.
  • Inform General Staff of any children with specific medical or dietary requirements.
  • Coordinate leave requests for General Staff members in consultation with your recruitment contact.
  • Ensure the BX+ course is completed and assist the BX+ Coordinator as necessary.
  • Oversee petty cash and financial documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the site and storage areas, ensuring all equipment is properly stored.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attendance at mandatory Senior Training events is required.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word and familiar with Office 365.
  • Able to acquire and enhance IT skills, including our in-house booking system.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Obtain an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or possess an existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Provide satisfactory professional or academic references.
  • Participate in and conduct Induction Training Days.
  • Complete annual Online Training.
  • Coordinate the end-of-camp pack-up process.
  • At least half of the senior staff should be Paediatric First Aid trained, varying by camp size.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Adhere to Health and Safety obligations by following established procedures and safe systems.
  • Proactively address safety concerns.
  • Report any Child Protection issues to a designated person at Central Office.
  • Ensure staff are informed of any children with additional medical or dietary needs and assist in making reasonable adjustments.
  • Support the Senior Team in administering necessary medication and completing appropriate documentation.
  • Bring swimwear daily as it may be required for swimming sessions.
