Business Development Manager

Piper Companies is seeking a seasoned Business Development Executive to spearhead growth in their West Coast territory, encompassing SoCal, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. This dynamic role demands a strategic thinker who can expand business relationships and drive revenue in a highly competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development initiatives in the territory, focusing on Phase 1-4 clinical trials.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships, representing the company in bid defenses and customer meetings.
- Manage and grow a subset of accounts within the assigned territory.
- Comfortable with regular travel to meet clients in person.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a Business Development role, preferably with a large CRO.
- Proven track record in Phase 2/3 clinical trials, including successful bid defenses.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory for client meetings and bid defenses.
- Strong sales background with a proven ability to achieve and exceed targets.
- Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range: $145,000 - $185,000 (based on experience)
- OTE: $400,000 - $450,000
- Uncapped commission starting at $1 of work order signature, with 25% paid per quarter over four quarters.
