Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Specialist to join our team at RTA US. As a Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our blood and plasma products.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex analytical testing and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain proficiency in laboratory information systems and workflow of samples.
- Conduct routine analytical testing using manual and automated methods and procedures.
- Complete maintenance and Quality Control (QC) per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal contacts to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Follow all safety regulations, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, and rules to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Operate analytical instrumentation and technical laboratory equipment, and perform troubleshooting and calibration as needed.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance of assigned instruments and equipment, and notify Supervisor of unresolved issues.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
- Medical Lab Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) licensure in the State of Tennessee preferred.
- Two (2) years of related experience preferred.
- Intermediate to strong computer skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to make decisions that impact the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside the immediate work unit.
- Ability to complete routine forms and conduct routine oral communications.
- Ability to operate multiple devices simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
