Job Summary:

The InsideHigherEd College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist, Endocrinology Specialist to join our Biomedical and Diagnostic Sciences department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and efficiency of our Diagnostic Endocrinology Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine hormone analyses on clinical specimens and ensure quality control and quality assurance procedures are in place.
  • Lead the validation of new test offerings and assist with research studies to drive innovation and excellence in our laboratory.
  • Troubleshoot assays and equipment to ensure seamless operations and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and interact with veterinarians, technicians, students, and pet owners to ensure timely and accurate results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
  • Completion of an accredited medical technology program.
  • Additional relevant experience is preferred, as is Medical Technologist State of Tennessee License and ASCP Certification (MLT or MLS).

Working Conditions:

The Veterinary Medical Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Occasional weekend, evening, or holiday work may be required of this position.
