Position Title: Brand Manager - Wine
Role Summary:
Lead the brand marketing efforts for a specific category, collaborating closely with supplier partners to ensure that our marketing strategies and branding choices drive sales growth.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Engage regularly with suppliers to:
- Create effective internal sales materials that accurately represent our products.
- Develop promotional programs that strategically position our offerings in the marketplace.
- Maintain and update the pricing database.
- Design incentive programs to motivate sales.
- Facilitate successful supplier market visits in collaboration with Sales Directors.
- Ensure that product samples are organized and distributed to representatives as needed.
- Provide necessary POS materials, sell sheets, and pricing information.
- Assist in generating and executing consumer engagement events.
- Distribute pre-event communications detailing schedules and relevant information.
Inventory and Pricing Oversight
- Continuously monitor brand inventory in conjunction with the forecasting team through regular meetings and daily communication.
- Address customer issues to benefit both the client and the company.
- Oversee allocation programs for specialty items.
Collaboration Across Departments
- Work directly with Sales Directors to formulate effective marketing and sales strategies aimed at maximizing distribution of wine and spirits.
- Communicate all promotional incentives, programs, and new product launches to the sales team through meetings and digital platforms.
- Analyze performance reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify growth opportunities, capture market share, and monitor trends.
- Develop brand initiatives on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis to enhance market presence.
- Conduct monthly internal planning sessions.
- Organize annual business planning meetings with suppliers.
- Consolidate insights and formulate plans for the upcoming year.
- Maintain the Eagle Rock Portfolio Book.
- Oversee accounts receivable for assigned suppliers.
Portfolio Analysis
- Evaluate current market conditions to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Assess new product introductions.
- Manage the onboarding process for new suppliers.
- Develop innovative marketing programs.
- Engage with suppliers on a weekly basis.
- Process sample requests efficiently.
- Schedule in-store tasting events.
Market Engagement
- Achieve the required number of market days each month.
- Ensure consistent adherence to brand standards in marketing efforts.
- Coordinate and execute special events effectively.
- Develop creative strategies to enhance product sell-through following new brand placements.
